Game 18: (13-4-1) 28 October vs. #2 Seed Shawnee Heights at Bettis Family Stadium (5-0) We head to Topeka to play in the cold and rain tonight, but this should be quite an opportunity. We are going for our 30th regional title, and we are going for our 20th straight. We will begin a little bit differently up top with Taborda at the 9, moving Ethan wide, but the rest of the starting line-up will be what we have gone with for some time. We put forth another very good performance, limiting Heights almost to nothing around goal.  Muckerman continued to visit Muckerville—that’s 9 deadball goals on the season for him.  And Luke found the net tonight. He finished a ball coming off a Ryan t-ball, and he just struck one from 30 that was beautiful.  Garrett Hall had his second goal of the season tonight off a header from Mark Mason off, yet another, set-piece goal for us.  Our midfield played well all night, defending and transitioning forward. Game 17: (12-4-1)  26 October 2021, vs. Pittsburg, ABC at STA, 6:30, for chance to play for Region 2 Championship How can it be playoffs already? We enter postseason at 11-4-1, but with some added optimism as we add back "Swags" to the roster. There is no question we were much better offensively when AC played up top on the left and the right throughout the early parts of the season. He just makes everyone else better with his dynamic play. Hopefully, he is the shot in the arm we need--a booster. But then AC got in a bad car accident on the way to school. So, we are back to square one minus a difference maker. Onward. And tonight's match against Pittsburg did display some of our offensive skills, although delayed a bit.The Dragon's goalie is a cousin of our All American keeper, Jake Gutierrez.
